We signpost to training for professionals on evidence-based, psychological and social interventions for people with dementia, their carers and care staff. The recommended interventions have been tested through rigorous research trials and shown to make a change in key outcomes such as the cognition or wellbeing of people with dementia or carer wellbeing.
Many interventions are developed by research teams, but it isn't always clear where to go for training. In contrast, many dementia training courses are available, despite lacking any evidence-base. We aim to summarise the key interventions aimed at people with dementia, their carers and care staff, and signpost to where you can access training
